# Commercial and community licensing availability

Toshokann source covered by the repository's root [`LICENSE`](LICENSE) is available under the GNU Affero General Public License, version 3 only (`AGPL-3.0-only`). The AGPL path is available without a fee and permits commercial use when its terms are followed.

The Wizard Nexus LLC is also available to discuss a separate written commercial license for Toshokann material that it owns or is otherwise authorized to license. Commercial terms may be appropriate for an organization that needs proprietary, closed-source, private white-label, or other rights or obligations different from those provided by the AGPL.

Qualifying nonprofits, educational programs, community and public-interest organizations, open-knowledge projects, and other public-benefit users may request a no-cost alternative written license, a no-cost configured Toshokann derivative, or both. Eligibility and scope are considered case by case.

This document is an informational notice only. It is not a license, an offer, a quote, or a grant of commercial or alternative rights. Those rights arise only from a separate written agreement executed by authorized representatives. Nothing here changes rights already granted under the AGPL or another applicable license.

Third-party material and components carrying separate license notices remain governed by their own terms. A separate agreement for Toshokann material cannot grant rights that The Wizard Nexus does not own or is not authorized to license.

A separate license or derivative does not promise production readiness, hosting, content preparation, preservation services, support, updates, warranty, indemnity, or third-party services unless a written agreement expressly includes them.
